CDC and Biden finally “follow the science”
For more than a year, the media-perceived morally superior class has been preaching “follow the science, “trust the science,” “science, science, science.”
Today, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention finally followed the science.
After five months of Covid-19 vaccinations in the United States with more than 120 million fully vaccinated adults, the CDC acknowledged that fully vaccinated people need no longer wear masks or socially distance in most situations. Five months. And this is just the icing on the cake of “following the science” throughout this whole ordeal.
The Covid-19 Pandemic will forever be remembered by social distancing, masks, school closings, and of course the dreaded toilet paper shortage. But how much of that was actually rooted in science?
Take a grocery store situation for example. Masks are still required at stores like Walmart and Target. But why are they required if the CDC has said all along that Covid-19 is spread by being within six feet of another individual for fifteen minutes. Did we all forget about that minor fifteen-minute detail? Last I checked, I am not standing within six feet of someone for more than fifteen minutes in a grocery store.
As for schools, the CDC has never recommended the closure of them. Not only are kids not as susceptible to Covid-19, but they are not as severely affected as the older generation, and their death risk is certainly not equitable. Yet, nearly a third of US public school students are not back in an in-person classroom.
Here is the reality when it comes to masks. If the 3 major Covid-19 vaccines we have are effective, masks were never essential for fully vaccinated people. This includes President Joe Biden and those in the White House. We knew the Pfizer and Moderna vaccinations had a 94–95% effectiveness rate when they were placed under the emergency use authorization in December.
Remember when Biden was the only world leader to wear a mask on a climate Zoom call? Then, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said “he had a pool there for portions. There were additional staff there, additional personnel.” However, Biden was fully vaccinated. Therefore, his wearing a mask was not necessary, as the CDC acknowledged today. They say he was sending a message, but that message was a lie.
Think about this, how much is vaccine hesitancy caused by the uncertain future of receiving a Covid-19 vaccine? An individual that is wary of the vaccine but wants the pandemic to end is certainly not going to be encouraged by seeing a fully vaccinated person wearing a mask on a Zoom call or wearing two masks outside. Yes, that happened while Biden was fully vaccinated.
For that matter, why did Biden say on April 27 “Starting today, if you’re fully vaccinated, and you’re outdoors … and not in a big crowd, you no longer need to wear a mask.” Nothing in science has changed from April 27 to today (May 13) as it relates to science. A fully vaccinated person did not need to wear a mask anywhere on April 27.
Furthermore, let’s remember what we have been told over the past few months. Just over a month ago, CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said “I’m going to reflect on the recurring feeling I have of impending doom.” At the beginning of March, after Texas lifted their mask mandate, Biden called the move “neanderthal thinking.” How much of that was true? None. There was no doom. There is no truth in neanderthal thinking. And that’s just two examples. There are plenty more.
For the whole pandemic, but most specifically the past five months, the American people have been lied to by the Biden administration and the media-perceived morally superior class. Once fully vaccinated, you can go back to normal life. Where was that message in January, on day one of the Biden administration?
Finally, a word of advice to anyone who wants to communicate science. You can’t scream “follow the science” or “trust the science” and think that covers your bases from now on. All phrases that relate science to superiority have been abused so much by the Covid-19 pandemic that no one will ever take them seriously again. They are forever tied to the big lie and exaggeration of Covid-19 precautions.
